Refund & Cancellation Policy
When you can get your money back for a Shiftlyn report, how to ask, and how long it takes.
Last updated: 28 July 2026
1. What you are buying
The Shiftlyn full report is a one-time digital purchase. It is generated for you by AI at the moment you pay and unlocked immediately on your results page. There is no subscription, no recurring charge and nothing to cancel later.
2. The short version
3. When we will refund you
We issue a full refund where:
- Your payment succeeded but the full report was never unlocked or delivered to you.
- You were charged more than once for the same report.
- The report failed to generate, or generated with an obvious technical fault (for example, an empty or broken report), and we could not fix it for you.
- You were charged in error — for example, a payment went through for an account that never requested it.
4. When we will not refund you
- You changed your mind after reading the report.
- You disagree with your risk score, or you expected a different result. The score is an AI-generated estimate — see our Terms — and disagreeing with it is not a fault in the product.
- You did not act on the recommendations, or acting on them did not produce the outcome you wanted.
- You bought the report and then decided the job listings or courses shown were not relevant to you.
- The request comes more than 7 days after the payment date.
5. How to request a refund
Email info@shiftlyn.com from the address on your account, or use the form on our contact pagewith the subject “Billing & Payments”, within 7 days of the payment. Include:
- The email address on your account.
- The Razorpay payment ID or order ID from your payment confirmation.
- The date and amount of the payment.
- A one-line description of what went wrong.
We aim to respond within 48 hours and to decide on every request promptly.
6. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are processed through Razorpay back to the original payment method — the same card, UPI ID or bank account you paid from. We cannot refund to a different method. Once we initiate it, the amount typically reaches you in 5–7 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Where a report has already been unlocked and a refund is approved as a goodwill exception, access to that report may be removed.
7. Failed and pending payments
If money left your account but the payment shows as failed, it is usually an authorisation that was never captured — banks normally release these automatically within 5–7 business days. If it has not been released after that, contact us with the payment reference and we will chase it with the gateway.
8. Chargebacks
If you have a problem, please contact us first — it is almost always faster than raising a dispute with your bank. Where a chargeback is raised, we may suspend account access while the dispute is investigated and will share the relevant transaction records with the payment gateway.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published on the date you paid.
